Thank you

Thank you very much for your support of the Shukubo Project, a new challenge for Kanzaki Temple. As mentioned in the project details, the number of vacant houses is increasing at the foot of the mountain near Kanzaki Temple, and we hope to prevent the charm of Kanzaki Town from declining due to the declining population. We will do our best to keep your pure hearts alive, so we hope you will continue to support us.

Thank you for your support in crowdfunding.

Project Progress

Work on renovating the old house began in August, and we have now finished dismantling the interior. We are now moving on to replacing the floors, building the ceilings, and painting the walls, with the plan being to complete the work in February of next year, so that we will be able to open in the spring.

Once the lodge opens, we will offer various course menus such as sake tasting tours to sake breweries in Kanzaki Town, soy sauce making experiences, potato digging experiences, and BBQ. In winter, you can warm yourself by the wood stove and enjoy hot sake while poking at yudofu around the hearth. That is the kind of lodge we aim to be. We look forward to welcoming you to our old house at the foot of the Kanzakidera mountain in Kanzaki Town.

Mountain of demolition rubbish
We will treasure these earthen walls and preserve them.
It has become wider
This beam is good
Before digging the well, the gods were appeased.
A new deep well was dug
Huh? A familiar worker
Now we start working on making it.
We will also build baths and toilets that did not exist before.
The work is still continuing. We will lay the floors, put up the ceiling, and paint the walls. I'm an amateur at the work, but I'm doing my best, so please join us if you'd like. I'll be waiting.
