Groundbreaking ceremony and house purification ceremony

Usually, people consider building or buying a home a once in a lifetime purchase.

If the house is a new build, the first thing to be done during construction is a ground-breaking ceremony. A ritual is performed at the center of the land to pacify and protect it, and to create a bond between the builder and the land.

Also, when purchasing a house that has already been built, the house is purified and sometimes a prayer is held in the center of the house along with a memorial service so that the occupants will live in peace and happiness.

In addition, there are many things that can only be done at a temple like ours, such as purification rituals in rental housing or if there is any distrust, so please contact us if you have any concerns.

Groundbreaking ceremony

As this is the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime undertaking, it will be carried out carefully from the preparations to the final hurrah.

Each ceremony has its own meaning, so the homeowners say, "I'm glad we did it." We promise to hold a proper ground-breaking ceremony that will leave no room for complaint from the house builder or the carpenter.

It will take approximately two hours from arrival at the site to preparation, execution, and cleanup.

We will give you a ridgepole talisman, sacred object, and offering bundle, which the construction company will insert when pouring the foundation and raising the roof.

If you consult us during the design stage, we can also provide an appraisal of your home's feng shui.

Since this is a once-in-a-lifetime project, let's have a good groundbreaking ceremony.

Groundbreaking ceremony procedure

Many house builders are a little sloppy in their preparations for ground-breaking ceremonies, and tend to neglect the importance of the ceremony, so we always do everything properly on-site, from reserving the spot to setting up the equipment. From preparation to the end of the ceremony, we will work with the builder and all the attendees to create the ground-breaking ceremony, so we promise to hold a proper, rewarding ceremony that follows ancient customs.

Filling wells and cutting old trees

In times of need, wells and garden trees provided water for human life and soothed the eyes and souls by providing greenery. In modern times, it is often impossible to maintain them due to housing conditions.

Filling wells

The water god resides in wells, and even if a well is not enshrined, it is necessary to perform the ritual of raising the water god when filling in a well that provides water.

Although this is a time-consuming and expensive procedure, it is a sign of respect for the well that has helped you, so please perform the water god raising ceremony when filling in the well.

Felling old trees

Take good care of very old trees in your home that have been there since before you were born. Old trees in your property, such as garden trees that are obviously over 50 years old, may be sacred trees for your home. If you need to cut them down, express your gratitude and perform a purification ritual before cutting them down to avoid causing any disturbances.
