Summer Terakoya Training Camp

The 2024 event will be held from August 2 to 4, 2 nights and 3 days.

Where does a connection with Buddhism come from?

In many cases, this was probably taught to children by their parents or grandparents, just like discipline.

Nowadays, it is often the case that their parents or grandparents do not have the faith to give, and there are even many elderly people who mistake temples for tourist attractions or something like that.

We have set aside three days for children so that children who come into contact with us will realize that temples are wonderful places.

Adults will do their best to support the children throughout the three days.

The particular feature of the Terakoya at Kanzaki Temple is that

  1. The priest will scold you without hesitation.

  2. The monk enjoys it more than the children.

  3. It's a temple school but I don't study.

  4. I will always follow the rules

  5. I'm so busy, so the most important thing is to be disciplined.

  6. It's an interesting gathering because people from all over the country participate.

  7. I don't bring in the usual stuff here.

  8. No smartphones or games allowed

  9. Apparently it's fun for kids

We are accepting new participants from 1st grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of junior high school, so please apply in advance.

We also have high school and university students participating as instructors.

Please sign up for the temple's newsletter or official LINE account so that you can receive communications from the temple.

In 2024, it will be from August 2nd to 4th.
