After the hottest time of the year has ended and the fatigue of summer begins to show in the body, we hold health prayers and health techniques handed down by Kobo Daishi on the Sunday Goma Festival in September, which is close to Hassaku day in the old calendar.
Through a hot goma prayer, ailments in the body and various worldly misfortunes, resentment, jealousy and other obstacles are sealed into a cucumber, which is then buried in mountain soil.
Moxibustion
We also offer "Horoku Moxibustion," in which a "Horoku" plate is placed on the head and moxibustion is performed. Horoku Moxibustion restores physical condition by placing moxa on the Baihui acupoint at the top of the head and stimulating it. The remaining heat is also used to warm the Tanden acupoint. This is particularly effective for women, who tend to get sick from the cold air conditioning in the summer.
