Recommendation for monthly visits

"Hold the Faith Properly"

In cultured countries, faith also forms the basis of morality, and can be seen as a standard for judging cultural levels.

What exactly does it mean to have faith?

Perhaps it is about having something in your heart that transcends science and physics, but rather than having this belief suddenly emerge, it is better to let it develop over time, if possible.

A temple is a place to nurture one's spirit.

The way to develop the mind is through practice.

Practice would be to get in touch with faith.

I recommend "Tsukimairi" as an opportunity to put this into practice and experience faith.

Other religions have set Sunday services and worship times and can be quite strict.

Although Buddhism is open-minded and leaves you to your own free will, please come and practice your own life and faith.

Monthly visit to Kanzaki Temple

At Kanzaki Temple, all visitors who make monthly visits recite sutras. As this is a temple that values practice, visitors do not simply sit and pray, but perform offerings that they can do themselves. These include chanting sutras, which is called "service," offering goma wood, and carrying Buddhist implements, which are Buddhist ritual implements.

It's about polishing it.

As for the service, we use the temple's sutra book and perform the service in accordance with the priest's sutra during the goma. After visiting the temple several times, everyone will be able to perform the service well and loudly.

Also, as you recite the sutras many times during a pilgrimage, you will become better at it and the sutras will become your own. Then, chanting the sutras or chanting mantras with all your heart will become comfortable for you.

Since Kanzakidera is a temple where you can become closer to gods and Buddha, you will naturally learn sutras.

Training is something that needs to continue, so please make sure to treasure your monthly visits.
